Banglalink-Huawei signs an agreement

Banglalink, one of the leading digital service providers in the country, has signed an agreement with network service provider Huawei for network modernization. Eric Oss, CEO of Banglalink and Pan Junfeng, Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd. signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies at a function held at Banglalink's head office. Banglalink's Chief Technology and Information Officer Hussain Turkar, Network Services Management Director Hasnat Reza Mahbub Alam and Procurement and Supply Chain Director KM Zakaria were also present on the occasion. Chief Technical Officer Kevin Xue, Chief Operating Officer Tao Guangyao, and Accounts Director Mizanur Rahman Khan Chowdhury were present on behalf of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited. Under the agreement, Huawei's advanced network content and technology infrastructure will be used to increase Banglalink's 4G coverage and network capacity over the next five years. Banglalink has recently increased the total spectrum to 80 MHz, which will help in the efforts to expand 4G across the country. Banglalink will set up 3,000 new towers this year to provide improved 4G services across the country.
